Penny has a Teeswater base (Teeswater fleeces are spectacular)  and is the mother of Tessa, Gilda, and Frankie. She has earned her name by being the emotional support adult for all the lambs when they are weaned.

A beautiful soul, likes her food and isn’t afraid to tell the rest of the flock to move aside.  She is the perfect aunt to the babies during weaning.

Muffet is a Gotland based F2 (also gorgeous fleece).  She has horns. Muffet had her first set of lambs last month and exceeded all our hopes with 3 beautifully marked F3 ewe lambs. And yes they all have her lovely, brave and friendly personality.

Gilda was the first lamb born on the property and is everything a Valais should be personality-wise.  She is ridiculously brave and has never met a 2-legged that wasn’t a friend.  She is a bit annoying in that she wants to be in the thick of whatever is going on – even vet visits.  She has a little too much black/brown in her fleece but the personality makes up for it.  Hoping her lambs will be just like her with better markings.

Gilda’s twin.  Frankie (F2 wether) seems to have given Gilda all the brave genes in the womb, so he is the most timid of the flock.  That was until a friend explained that sheep love animal crackers.  Frankie is happy to push to the front of the crowd for a cracker and is on his way to being convinced that 2-leggeds are friends.  Frankie’s fleece is lustrous and will make beautiful fibre art.
